2010 Fall Kitchen Tour!
September 17 & 18

Noted for putting on Georgia's largest Holiday Tour of Homes, the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau are back in action with the 2010 Fall Kitchen Tour. The 2010 Kitchen Tour will feature seven distinctive sites throughout Madison & Morgan County. Styles of kitchens vary. Last year's Tour included industrial kitchens located within modern lofts, commercial kitchens of bed & breakfasts, new kitchens featuring Viking appliances, and Antebellum homes with kitchens having recently undergone extensive renovations. Like the inaugural Kitchen Tour in 2008, the 2010 Tour will feature in-home guest chef demonstrations throughout both days. The Tour takes place on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 to 4:00. The intinerary stays the same both days. Additionally, we've added "A Chocolate Affair" to this year's mix.
A separate ticketed event, "A Chocolate Affair" will be held the Friday evening of the Tour. This event will take place at the James Madison Inn Grand Lobby and Oak Room, Royal Penthouse, Park Cottage and Brady Inn. Several of our local chefs and confectioners are providing samples of their most tasty chocolate treats - so bring your appetite! Live acoustic performances by the Araya Duo, Shane McDaniel, and Dr. Gary Cecil will be featured at Chocolate Affair locations, and a wine tasting with Steve Gibson (from your favorite Georgia vineyard - Habersham Winery of the Nacoochee Valley) will take place at Brady Inn. A Chololate Affair takes place from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. Tickets are $20.00 per person.
This year's Tour features the following homes: Residence of Charlotte & Danny Gibson (Valley Farm), Residence of Carol & Carm Martinese (Valley Farm), Valley Farm Farmhouse, Residence of Carolyn & Andy Ainslie, Steffen Thomas Museum of Art, Residence of Shelley MacMillian, Residence of Lyn & Whitey Hunt, Residence of Shandon & David Land, and the Madison Artists Guild.
