2010 Taste of Madison
TASTE OF MADISON RETURNS BIGGER AND BETTER!
March 18, 2010 will mark the 11th year that the Madison-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce has held its annual “A Taste of Madison” in Historic Downtown Madison. This year, the Chamber promises this event to be once again spectacular, with the inclusion of local and area restaurants, as well as local farmers, which is a new component this year.
Last year, the 10th Annual Taste of Madison served up hundreds of attendees who sampled all sorts of cuisine—from traditional Southern Cooking, to upscale seafood combinations. Even fresh milk and produce from Morgan County were offered.
A major fundraiser for the Madison-Morgan Chamber of Commerce, A Taste of Madison is an event known throughout the region. Many residents from the surrounding counties, as well as Atlanta, make the drive to sample some of this area’s finest delicacies.
Aside from the variety of restaurants that will be at this year’s event, other highlights include the always popular silent auction featuring Georgia Made, Georgia Grown products and an assortment of merchandise from local retailers, musical entertainment provided by Dock 103.9-WDDK, and a mega cash giveaway.
The 11th Annual Taste of Madison takes place at the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center Hall from 5:30 to 8:00. Tickets for children 6-10 are $5.00. Children 5 and under get in free. Tickets can be purchased at the Madison Welcome Center for $20.00. For more information, call 706-342-4454.
